The Les Iscles Lake Campground is the ideal starting point for exploring and enjoying the different villages, landscapes and breathtaking panoramas to be found in the southern Alps.
It is located just a few kilometres from the Ecrins massif, the Queyras Regional Nature Park and Lake Serre Ponçon.

Whitewater sports
In the Hautes-Alpes, the water is quite a story! The Durance river runs from north to south and is a source of both inspiration and adrenaline… it is the life’s blood of the whole department. With more than 2,000 km of protected and well preserved rivers (the fish are living proof!), the water is an ideal playground in all seasons.
It all starts with swimming in Lake Eygliers, the mountain lakes or Lake Serre Ponçon, or even in the river.
For the more adventurous, there is the option of rafting down the Durance, for families or the Guil, or even the Gyr for the more athletic, looking for thrills on the water.
The nearby rivers offer kayakers everything from class 2 rapids to impassable sections, with a wide choice of difficulty levels to suit all abilities.
Want to try your hand at white water sports? The Durance is the perfect river: few rocks, a few waves and the famous Rabioux rapid.
.

It is also possible to discover water activities in the mountains in a different way: sliding, jumping, abseiling and white water swimming are all part of canyoning. A fun and sporting activity, ideal for sharing an unforgettable moment with friends, family or a group in complete safety.
So, take the plunge! Welcome to the Lac les Iscles campsite in Eygliers!
There is easy access from the campground to all the internationally renowned rivers in the region: the Guil, the Ubaye, the Gyr, the Gyronde, the Guisane etc…
It is easy to leave or return to the campground by kayak. A departure / arrival area is located on the banks of the Durance just at the entrance to the campground!
